New Additions to the Cooper Center Team
The Cooper Center has grown again! We're proud to be able to add two new positions to the Camp Cooper team. As the Cooper Center continues to expand on the programs and resources we can offer, it was crucial to fill these roles with passionate, knowledgeable people who bring their love of the Sonoran Desert and the environment and ecosystem with them in their work.
At the end of January, we hired our first-ever, full-time Marketing Specialist, Kyle Mirzaian. Kyle steps into the role as Nate Byerley moved from part-time marketing duties at the Cooper Center into a new position. Kyle has a diverse background in marketing and the creative arts. He has previously worked for the Humane Society of Southern Arizona and originally hails from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In February, we hired Educator Jen Galan to round-out our teaching staff. This allows for our educational programs to be more effective. As part of Camp Cooper's teaching staff, Jen energetically shares her love of nature with the students visiting camp. Jen graduated from the University of Florida and has taught English abroad. She first fell in love with the Sonoran Desert during a stint with AmeriCorps here in Southern Arizona.
We welcome Kyle and Jen and excited for what they bring to the Camp Cooper experience. Learn more about Camp Cooper staff.
